    Oware (Mancala) Game West Africa - From Ghana - Handmade
    Oware or (Mancala) is played (in various variants) in West Africa, from Senegal to Gabon.
    This game tests strategy and mathematical skill. Children in West Africa have played this game for centuries and adults spend hours and hours picking up and dropping stones into the board's 12 pits, socializing as they play.
    Wooden Board Game Oware/Mancala with 48 seeds (plus three extra).
    This Oware game consists of a hand-carved folding board and 48 grey/green tear seeds (+ three extra seeds).
    The board is the carrying case. it is all self-contained. The top of the case has a carved village scene.
    Length - about 14 ½”. When open it is about 5” wide.
    Hand crafted in Ghana and purchased in a local village from the artisan (learned to play in Mali).
