Description

Lot of three vintage adverting items from the 1960s all featuring the illustrations of artist Gil Elvgren.  First, there's a 3.25" X 6" pocket calendar advertising Walter A. Rankin Co., a supplier of air and hydraulic equipment based in Philadelphia and Baltimore.  The Elvgren illustration on the cover is titled "Me ? ? ?" and depicts a model looking at a pop art painting of herself.  Inside of cover includes complete calendars for 1964 and 1965.  Calendar itself covers September 1964, with each page covering three dates in the month.  There are lines to write in appointments and even a space to record the hour of the appointment.  There are five blank pages at the end of the calendar, which is unused and in mint condition.
Also included are two blotters from Neely Enterprises and Neely Sales Division.  The first has an illustration of a model ironing and is titled "A New Wrinkle."  There's a small November 1962 calendar on the blotter.  The other blotter has the Elvgren painting titled "Screen Test," and the blotter has a calendar from November 1968.  Both blotters are unused and in mint condition.  These items would make a fantastic addition to any collection of vintage Elvgren memorabilia.
