  • Condition: Speakers are used, but in overall great condition. Some finish is rubbed/small dents in spots from years of relocation, but these have always been stored in a climate controlled environment. All of the woofers are in great condition, with no tears or apparent deterioration. Several wires had rubs/exposed wire, so all wires have been replaced (using approved wire and soldered/sheathed with heat shrink) using spliced original 3.5mm male ends (see photos).

    Up for grabs is a nice THX Certified Klipsch ProMedia 4.1 set. Listing includes the control speaker, three other speakers, and a powered/amplified subwoofer (which all of the speakers plug into). All of the speakers still present well cosmetically and work as intended without distortion. I purchased this set new (Best Buy???) when I went to college in 2001. These were never run extremely loud/overdriven...I just wanted more than the average desktop speakers for some gaming and watching videos on my desktop. These work on MAC and PC, as well as any device with the 3.5mm (1/8" Mono) Jack. I will include a 2-into-1 adapter with listing for systems with a single input (there are two on control speaker).
    As with any used electronic device, these are USED and are not presented as new...so please view pictures for condition. Having said that, I have inspected and tested these before listing and they still sound great...I just don't need them. Please look at my reviews! I have sold almost all of my surplus speakers/devices already...and I take pride in accurate descriptions and sending items out in working condition...fully insured...as well as appropriately packaged for transport.
    Overall condition: USED but in good condition for age, material, and intended use. Items have always been stored in a climate controlled environment AND THIS MATTERS! Never in a hot attic, or damp basement. Wires have been replaced, as noted, with appropriate gauge wire and heat shrink using the original 3.5mm male plugs. Speakers have various small dents/scratches from years of moving, although all still present well...they are 20 years old. Some cracking/popping was present through speakers when adjusting the level knobs after first time use in 15 years, but went away quickly with some back and forth manipulation (typical of any device that's sat for a period of time). Items work as intended at listing and will be re-inspected before shipment.
    Overall dimensions:
    The subwoofer measures 10.25 inches X 9.25 inches X 13 inches, and weighs 17.5 lbs. The satellite speakers weigh 2.1 lbs. and measure of 4.2 inches x 8.5 inches x 5.67 inches.
