    Description

    African Luba-Hemba Tribal Drum
    Used for ceremonies.
    This Drum was used to bring different people of different tribes together in harmony.
    Traditionally, the drum was the heartbeat, the soul of most African communities. Drums have been an intrinsic part of African life for centuries and for countless generations, an ancient instrument used to celebrate all the aspects of life.
    Material: local wood, animal skin ot the top of the drum stretched over the open end of the frame.
    The skin is tightened with leather straps and pegged on.
    Acquired by collector in Congo, Africa in the 1960s.
